His mind was on the inevitable conversation he would have to have with his parents about leaving Hogwarts. “No,” Harry said, but didn’t provide any further details.

Did Dumbledore and the Minister really duel?” “You and Diggory were the only ones that were in the office. “But what really happened?” asked Dean Thomas, leaning in closer to Harry. Hermione threw down the paper, clearly too disgusted to even finish the article. He remembered Fudge telling Percy to rush the information to the Daily Prophet, and, sure enough, Umbridge was plastered on the front page of the morning edition and Dumbledore’s flight was described in absurd and wildly inaccurate detail. Harry’s impossible hopes of keeping Umbridge’s takeover of Hogwarts from his parents were dashed immediately the next morning. (See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Otherwise, Definitely read UP TO that moment, because there's some good changes (any Hannah Abbott fans? I had a lot of fun giving her some spotlight), and definitely read after that moment because I made some MAJOR changes that I have to make because of other changes I've made/will make in later books. The only "new" thing in that scene is that Harry is trying to figure out if his parents are dating or not, which adds like, hopefully a little bit of levity to a very difficult scene. If bullying bothers you, feel free to skip over that. So here's the long-anticipated chapter of Snape's Worst Memory. I've got 6 major creative projects in 2018 (including this one) and I'm determined to not let my creative spirit die even though I'm going to be a mess with school, so cross your fingers that I can stay on top of things and hopefully we'll get into a regular schedule for this story. Really wanted to finish this book before 2018 hit but life gets you sometimes, doesn't it? ← Previous Work Part 6 of Harry Potter: Everyone Lives AU Next Work → Stats: Published: Completed: Words: 260259 Chapters: 38/38 Comments: 1236 Kudos: 1141 Bookmarks: 83 Hits: 48408
